Anmaya Ghee and Butter on a wooden board

Our Story

I still remember the scent of my mother’s kitchen—warm, golden, and infinitely comforting. Every morning began with a quiet ritual: she would carefully boil the milk, gently skimming the thick malai (cream) from the top to collect and freeze in a separate pan. It was a practice of true dedication, patience, and discipline.

Over the weeks, once enough malai had been saved, the real work began. She would meticulously hand-churn the cream to make fresh white butter. This churning was a crucial step that required strong arms, and she would often ask my father to step in and help. The result of all that shared hard work was amazing—a pure, white butter so rich and delicious that I can still vividly recall the taste of it on my tongue. She would then gently simmer that butter into ghee, her quiet humming blending with the rich aroma that filled the air. That simple, golden ritual left a lasting imprint on me: food made with patience and care carries much more than flavour. It carries love.

Years later, living in the UK, I realized how easily these beautiful traditions were fading. Most ghee on the shelves was mass-produced and rushed, and butter had lost its authentic character. I wanted to bring those cherished memories back to life—to craft foods that felt like home, yet perfectly met the standards of modern living.

And so, Anmaya was born. Every jar of our ghee and butter is slow-churned in small batches, made from the finest organic ingredients, and inspired by ancient Ayurvedic wisdom. The name Anmaya reflects our core belief: an essence made fully and purely, crafted with true intention, and shared with love.

From my grandmother’s kitchen to yours, every spoonful is golden nourishment—made to inspire joy, balance, and connection.
